Apecis is the project of Brazilian ambient artist Lucas M. Côrtes (born 1988). He combines piano work with soft soundscapes. He started making music when he was 14 years old with an old Casio keyboard and an acoustic guitar, under the alias Frozen Autumn Trees, and tabbing them to mysongbook.com. Later, the project Jewish Funerals Burial and Mourning became created for a different kind of music. Discovering and developing techniques and influences, years passed and in mid-2007 Lucas put his other projects on hold to dedicate all of his time to working on the new solo project, Apecis.
